A mouthguard is a protective device for the mouth that covers the teeth and gums to prevent and reduce injury to the teeth, arches, lips and gums. ​It is recommended that people of all ages use a properly fittled custom made mouthguard in any sporting or recreational activity that may pose a risk of injury.

Mouthguards cover your teeth to protect teeth and gums. Custom-fitted mouthguards fit and protect your teeth better than over-the-counter mouthguards. Night guards can ease bruxism (teeth grinding). Wearing a daytime guard provides stability to the TMJ and discourages teeth clenching or any biting behaviors (such as nail biting or pencil chewing) that could be worsening your symptoms.
